TRANSIT STRAIT AGENCY
Strait crossing is strictly monitored by the Directorate General of Coastal Safety and related authorities. Vessels are informed about safety regulations and VTS centers organize crossings in accordance with type, gross tonnage and cargo onboard vessels, occasionally closing entrance to straits due to traffic, bad weather conditions or in case of an emergency.
